The Butterfly Children Charity
Butterfly skin implodes into the life of families without prior warning and is only diagnosed after giving birth.
Conscious of the extreme distress, uncertainty and fear felt by families, DEBRA exists as the only support organisation to help improve the quality of life for families from birth to end of life care. The DEBRA specialist team of nurses, psychologists, social workers and a researcher are dedicated to providing direct support services to people with EB and their families.
Thanks to the combined efforts of our families, the team and the large number of DEBRA volunteers, we have made a huge amount of progress with the level of support provided for sufferers. We will persist in our efforts to promote wider awareness and greater understanding of EB and we will continue to work hard to make their world less painful.
